At Vorby, we take your privacy seriously. Vorby is operated by Vorby Studios LLC, a California limited liability company ("Vorby", "we"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service, including when you connect Vorby to an AI assistant.

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using our service, including but not limited to:

When you access our service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

AI Assistants and Connectors

You can connect your Vorby account to an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT, through our connector at app.vorby.com/mcp. This section explains what happens to your data when you do.

Connecting. You connect with a secure sign-in (OAuth). Access tokens last 1 hour and refresh tokens last 90 days.

Disconnecting. You can disconnect at any time in the AI assistant's settings, or in Vorby on the web under Profile, then AI assistants, then Disconnect next to the app under Connected apps. Disconnecting in Vorby deletes every access token you gave that app.

What the assistant can access. A connected assistant can read and change inventory data in the homes your Vorby account can access, using the tools our connector offers. That can include item names, descriptions, rooms, locations, labels, categories, quantities, purchase prices, purchase dates, stores, warranty dates, saved estimated values, receipt details, attached file details, and links to item photos and attached files. It can add and update items, rooms and locations.

What we record. Production keeps no tool-call logs. We don't record the tool name, your Vorby user ID, the ID of the connected app, the content of your requests, or the results. Our hosting provider also keeps standard web request records (time, address requested, status, IP address and browser or app identifier), without request content.

What the assistant's provider receives. The results of each tool call are sent to the assistant so it can answer you. The assistant's provider, for example OpenAI for ChatGPT, handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy. We don't control how it stores or uses your conversations.

Photo links. Item photo links are unlisted links. Each link is long and random, so it can't be guessed, but anyone who has a link can view that photo without signing in. A link keeps working until you delete the photo in Vorby. After you delete a photo, copies cached by browsers or networks may remain for up to 30 days. Share inventory lists only with people you want to see those photos.

Attached files. Links to attached files, such as manuals and receipts, are signed links that expire after 1 day (24 hours).

No payments through the assistant. You can't buy or change a Vorby plan inside an AI assistant. Plans are managed in the Vorby app or on our website.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information
• Restricting or objecting to processing
• Data portability
• Withdrawing consent

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
